This gift was inspired by a friend who helped us out with our A/C. I wanted to do something special for him to let him know how much we appreciated his help. He was just so kind and generous with his time. We were very grateful! I tried to think of something ‘cool’ that a guy would like and the Cool Dude Gift Basket was born.

• Goldfish crackers – cool because he’s wearing sunglasses – Target

I just love this cooler from Target! It has a velcro opening on the top and cup holders built-in to the lid.

I selected an assortment of snacks and treats that fit the “cool” theme.

This Bubba mug was just perfect with the brightly colored sunglasses.

I used plastic bags as a filler in the bottom of the cooler. This helped to raise all the items so they didn’t get buried and fall to the bottom.

I colored in the “You Are Just So Cool” notecards so they popped and matched the colors of the cooler a little better. Filling in the “O’s” made them look like sunglasses which went with the “cool” theme. I used double sided tape to stick the notecard to the front of the cooler.

This gift is the coolest! My friend really loved it! I think it would make a great gift for Father’s Day too! It would even be nice for a birthday gift or 4th of July host gift. Have you made a cooler gift basket? Tell me about it in the comments below.
