I chose to do these beach tote gift bags for my son’s teachers during teacher appreciation week. Let’s be real, teachers don’t get enough credit for all that they do! A lot of teachers spend more time with the children than the actual parents of the children if you think about it. They do a lot and take such good care of our kiddos! I love treating them and showing how much we care about them!

Last year I was completely caught off guard as it was my first time experiencing teacher appreciation day at my son’s school/daycare. Most schools hand out a letter or send an e-mail informing parents of the date and/or week they will be celebrating and any activities they may have planned. Typically teacher appreciation week is the first week in May and the National Teacher Appreciation Day is observed on the Tuesday of the first full week in May. Last year I had the intention of doing something super thoughtful but wound up getting gift cards at the last minute and wrote a sweet note in a thank you card. I’m sure it was still appreciated but it wasn’t as thoughtful as I wanted it to be.

This year I wracked my brain for something fun and original. I’m sure teachers often get the same types of gifts like bath products and candy so I searched for something different. I wanted a gift that truly expressed gratitude and was maybe a little different from the typical things they receive. I found these beautiful beach totes that change color in the sun! How cool is that? Talk about original! I also fell in love with the designs. I paired them with tumblers and towels that matched the theme of the bags. Tumblers are so versatile anyone can use them and who doesn’t need an extra beach towel?  Perfectly assorted gifts that anyone would love.

  • Tropical Thank You Cards – Target

I found these tropical thank you cards at Target (my home away from home) and they couldn’t be more perfect for Teacher Appreciation Day.

I also added tags for the tumblers. I gave the admin staff tumblers as well because they deserve appreciation too!

I loved these totes so much I got one for Mother’s Day too (for me)! Lol! Yes, I know but at least I’m pretty sure I’m going to like my gift and it will pair nicely with a macaroni necklace! 😉 Which one is your favorite?
