Don’t forget your kid’s teachers on Valentine’s Day! Teachers need love too! At least my son’s teachers do! They take such good care of all the kids in their class so I wanted to make sure we took care of them on Valentine’s Day! I’m not always sure what to do for gifts for teachers. Last year was the first time I dealt with Teacher Appreciation Week and was at a complete loss! Our son had only been at the school for a short period of time and I was still basically learning the teacher’s names! Then I felt the pressure to come up with a thoughtful gift that says “thank you for taking such good care of my baby every day while helping him learn and keeping him safe!” It’s literally impossible! I wound up resorting to gift cards, which is nice, but I didn’t even know where they liked to shop or what restaurants they enjoy. Well, this year I planned ahead and had the teachers fill out a nifty questionnaire so I KNEW exactly what they liked!

One thing they all have in common is a passion for reading. So I decided to give them a copy of my new favorite book Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things by Martina McAtee.
Sounds scary, but it’s not. It’s more of a supernatural romance. I also included some cute notepads, a fun pen, and of course Valentine’s candy and chocolates that I found at Target – my home away from home! If you’re not sure if they like to read, you can always do a gift card instead of a book.
I made little gift bags and attached a chalkboard heart name tag that I personalized with each teacher’s name. You can download your own customizable chalkboard heart name tags here.
What did you get your kids’ teacher for Valentine’s Day? I’d love to hear from you!
